The Greek GREEN FUND co-finances the LIFE Phoenix project through financing the University of Crete – Natural History Museum of Crete (UoC – NHMC) and the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (HSPN)

The GREEN FUND with its Board Decision No. 287.8.1/2024/10.07.2024 co-finances the 101113584 – LIFE22-NAT-ES-LIFE Phoenix project for year 2024 with the total amount of €13,500.00. According to the aforementioned decision, co-financing totaling to €7,000.00 is provided to the University of Crete – Natural History Museum of Crete (UoC – NHMC), and also the amount of €6,500.00 is provided to the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (HSPN).

The LIFE Phoenix project has a total budget €3,901,577.38 and is being implemented by the following beneficiaries: 1) Territorial and Environmental Management and Planning S.A. (GESPLAN / Spain); 2) Island Council of Gran Canaria (CGC / Spain); 3) Directorate General for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty of the Government of the Canary Islands (GOBCAN / Spain); 4) Canary Islands Institute of Agricultural Research (ICIA / Spain); 5) University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria (ULPGC / Spain); 6) Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEEN / Greece); 7) University of Crete – Natural History Museum of Crete (UoC – NHMC / Greece); 8) Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (HSPN / Greece); and 9) Gounaris N. – Kontos K. O.E. (HOMEOTECH / Greece). The project will be completed in June 2028.
